During the months of January and February, residents of Alhama and Totana participate in the courses of Basic Computing and improvement of technological competences, and on Personal, Social and Labor Basic Competences, through the Labor Project.
The purpose of this training is to provide these people with basic social skills and techniques of active job search, aspects of vital importance when finding a job and keep it, in addition to working with content such as self-esteem or emotional intelligence, between others
In these two training actions have involved a total of 35 people unemployed and at risk of social exclusion in both municipalities.
During the month of March, another two occupational courses will begin.
One of them on Storage Auxiliary Operations, in Totana, to be held in the social center of the San Roque neighborhood, thanks to the collaboration of the Totana City Council.
The other will be a course of Cleaning of Surfaces and Furniture in Buildings and Premises, in Alhama, that will be carried out in the Training and Employment Center, thanks to the collaboration of the City Council of Alhama, in these two formations it is foreseen to have other 30 participants of the Labor Project.
The main purpose of these actions is to provide users with the necessary knowledge to work in the sector.
The courses are developed within the Labor Project 'A step towards employability'.
An initiative co-financed by the Murciano Institute of Social Action by 20% and by the European Social Fund by 80%.
This project aims to inform, train and guide unemployed people at risk of social exclusion on issues related to access to the world of work.
This initiative also aims to support the labor insertion process of those people who, in an active way, seek a change in their unemployment situation and find themselves with special difficulties to achieve it.
