Last Monday, November 5, the mayor of Alhama, Mariola Guevara, received an invitation from the president of the Regional Assembly, Rosa Peñalver, inviting her to an institutional event for the International Day against Gender Violence, along with the rest of the mayors and mayors. of the Region, in addition to other authorities and associations, to be held in the Courtyard of the Town Councils of the Assembly (Cartagena) on Monday 26 at 20:00.

Three days later, on Thursday, November 8, another invitation arrived for the mayor, convening her to an award ceremony for the International Day against Gender Violence, organized by the Family Counselor, and with the presence of the regional President, together with mayors and associations, in the auditorium Víctor Villegas (Murcia) the same Monday 26 at 19:00 hours.

Taking into account that it is physically impossible to attend the two events in two different cities with so little time difference, from the PSOE in Alhama we wonder if the regional government has counterprogrammed the act of the president of the Assembly and with what intention has done .

We have the feeling that we are, once again, facing a lack of institutional respect and political advantage on the part of the Popular Party of something as dramatic as violence against women.
