The Department of Transport is seeking to promote collective transport with Alhama de Murcia during the party, increasing the number of bus services and commuter trains, especially in the Alicante-Murcia-Lorca and also from Cartagena.

In coordination with the Tourist Association of Sierra Espuña, it seeks to provide a discretional service of buses with the rest of the municipalities that integrate it to facilitate the influx of visitors from the Sierra Espuña Territory.

The City Council will support the neighborhood initiatives to decorate facades, balconies, etc., as some neighbors have done this year voluntarily

It will also continue to invest resources in communication media that promote regional and national knowledge of the Los Mayos festival in particular and Alhama in general.

The mayor has made the first steps so that the National Organization of the Spanish Blind (ONCE) and the State Society of State Lotteries and Bets issue tenths with the image of Los Mayos and that the lottery of the National Lottery on Saturday is held in the location.

Alicia Martínez has reported the start-up of a museum space on the ground floor of the El Pósito exhibition hall where, on a permanent basis, the planted one of the last May winner of the mayos contest will be visited and there will be information and documentation on the fiesta, that explains the main characteristics of this cultural tradition, as well as other complements.

Among these, will be the costume of the actress Terele Pávez (1939-2017), named ambassador of Los Mayos in 2015 and who has donated this year her son, Carolo Ruiz.

In coordination with the councils of Commerce and Hospitality, for the next editions a greater disposition of halls of celebrations, premises and restaurants is looked for to be able to offer several months before the party regional packages of a complete day in Alhama with included food.

As well as the provision of accommodation, both hotels, rural houses and legalized tourist apartments.
