The Civil Guard in the region of Murcia has developed the operation 'EAR', an investigation to clarify the illicit cultivation and distribution of marijuana back in Alhama de Murcia, which has led to the arrest in the act of a local resident and the seizure of about 2 kilos of cannabis sativa buds, cash and a car.
As part of the prevention and prosecution of crimes related to drug trafficking, the Meritorious began operation last summer to investigate the alleged involvement of a neighbor of Alhama de Murcia with the cultivation and subsequent distribution of large amounts of marijuana.
The device developed allowed the Guardia Civil linking the suspect with a house in the town which used exclusively for both the illicit cultivation of marijuana, and for subsequent handling and distribution 'camel' and large consumers.
The monitoring and surveillance carried out by the researchers also provided evidence about performing the distribution of the drug and the vehicle used for this purpose.
In one of the monitoring, civil guards detected the impending transport large quantity of marijuana, so a device that has culminated in the interception of the vehicle and check the occupant was established.
After a thorough inspection, agents found in the trunk of Tourism glass containers containing nearly two kilograms of marijuana manipulated and prepared for consumption, currently performing the suspect arrested on suspicion of crimes against public health, traffic of drugs.
Once arrested the suspect and judicial authorization, the Civil Guard has conducted a record in housing under investigation.
The operation has resulted, so far, with the arrest of a person for the crime of drug trafficking and the seizure of large amount of buds of marijuana, cash and the vehicle used for the illicit activity.
The Spanish arrested 32 year-old resident of Alhama de Murcia, drugs and the effects seized, and the proceedings have been brought before the Court of Instruction number 4 of Totana (Murcia).
