XXXV NATIONAL FESTIVAL OF FOLKLORE LOS MAYOS 2018. With the participation of the groups: Recreational Folkloric Cultural Association 'Manuel de Falla' of Villacañas (Toledo), Grup de Danses 'Sant Vicent Ferrer' of Valencia, Ethnographic Association 'La Hijuela' of Patiño (Murcia) and Folkloric Group 'Villa de Alhama' of Alhama de Murcia.

Place: municipal auditorium 'Tierno Galván'.

Free entry until complete seats.

Organized by: Folkloric Group 'Villa de Alhama'.

XXV MAYRO RICE CONTEST.

Place: fairground.

The City Council will provide rice, drink and firewood.

1st prize: € 100, trophy and costume to choose from, donated by El Casto store, 2nd prize: € 80 and trophy, 3rd prize: € 50 and trophy.

Prize tribute to 'Diego del Chaleco' to the best presented dish: trophy and € 100 (donated by Diego's children: Pepe, Fina and Isabel).

Registration: Council of Celebrations (House of Culture) until April 27, at 14.30 h.

Performance of the group SPECIAL RC, Spanish pop and versions that will enliven the elaboration of the paellas.

Visit of the qualifying jury to the CRUCES inscribed to the contest.

The participating crosses will be open to visit throughout the afternoon.

XVIII Alhama in Folk Concert, with the performance of LA MUSGAÑA and will close the LA BANDA MORISCA concert.

MEETING OF CUADRILLAS 'LOS MAYOS'.

The crews will visit the different Mayos throughout the morning.

Departure: Plaza de la Constitución.

The participating squads are: Cuadrilla de La Costera, Cuadrilla de Aledo, Cuadrilla Pasiones Huertanas de Llano de Brujas, Cuadrilla de Fuente Álamo and Cuadrilla de Patiño.

Parade of CORREMAYOS, with the Charanga de Alhama 'Poyavés' and the Charanga 'Charandonga' to visit the Mayos.

Concentration and departure: Plaza de la Constitución.

During the tour, tickets will be handed out to the participating Corremayos to have preference in the distribution of the giant paella.

'ALHAMA, A MEDIEVAL BORDER CASTLE'.

Inaugural performance of the Cuadrilla de Aledo and Tío Juan Rita.

Realization and tasting of a GIANT PAELLA.

People who complete the parade will have preference, thus obtaining their ticket, and they will be dressed as Corremayos.

Place: La Cubana park (former traffic playground, eucalyptus area).
