The Department of Social Services reports that it has opened the extraordinary period of application for aid for supplies of electricity, gas and water (CARM Grant).

This aid will be aimed at alleviating the effects of energy poverty, guaranteeing the supply of electricity, water and gas to the usual home, to those people who do not have the economic resources to pay for these supplies and for the discharge. and / or reconnection of electricity and water services.

Individuals and / or families who are in a situation of risk and / or social exclusion and who can not pay for the basic supplies of electricity, water and / or gas from their habitual residence, may be beneficiaries of these aids. as well as the discharge or reconnection of electricity and water, circumstances that must be accredited before Social Services.

The deadline for submitting applications will be until March 31, 2018 and / or until the amount allocated to these grants is exhausted, in the Social Services Center and / or Town Hall Registry.

REQUIREMENTS:

Be the holder of the electricity, water or gas supply contract for which the aid is requested.

To these the condition of "holder of the supply contract" will be equated with that of the tenant of a dwelling, who, even though he is not the owner of the supply contract, is obliged to pay for said supply under the lease contract.

Be registered in the municipality of Alhama de Murcia, at least three months in advance.

Rent threshold:

The per capita income of the cohabitation unit will not be higher than 45% of the current SMI in annual computation, prorated extra payments, up to a maximum of 5 people, in the period of three months immediately prior to the presentation of the application.

When the applicant lives alone, the income limit will be 90% of the SMI in an annual calculation prorated extra payments, in the period of three months immediately prior to the request.

The applicant's family unit can not dispose of immovable property (owners or usufructuaries), excluding the habitual residence, which provides income that allows him to cover the need for which he requests the help.
