In fact, the project was modified for other reasons, but PREMURSA decided to ignore the warnings of environmentalists and continue processing a project knowing the existing legal uncertainty.
Ecologists in Action, on the other hand, believes that if the project is paralyzed and has not yet begun, is due more to lack of investors for a crazy huge project and of dubious profitability (as have warned environmentalists and experts economists many times [1]) and not so much legal uncertainty itself, present from the beginning of the processing.
Therefore, the organization believes that it is indecent to grip PREMURSA at straws when the main culprit of the situation is the company itself that has ignored any warning and must assume the risk until the end of his outlandish bet.
It is not acceptable, much less with the current economic situation, citizens have to continue paying the temerity some merchant, who voluntarily launched a crackpot and unfeasible projects and seeking to now socialize losses rather than take the risk they adopted at the time.
Regarding the regional administration, the environmental organization considers it unacceptable that after more than twenty years in power and loose majorities, the Popular Party has been unable to comply with the Act and final approval of all environmental planning, so as to ensure the effective protection of areas and protected species in the region of Murcia, but also so that legal certainty is given with clear benefits to the public interest, since not only the cost to public coffers to compensate the temerity be avoided, but serious and not speculative investors fleeing the legal uncertainty created and maintained by this irresponsible executive for too many decades will attract.
Therefore, Ecologists in Action requires the Regional Government besides not pay compensation to PREMURSA, the Regional Government takes seriously the ambientale planning to invest economic and personnel resources to that within a year it becomes available necessary plans, which in some cases take more than 20 years late and in some cases represent an economic cost for fines and reduction of investment items Europe.
