The urban planning entity for the conservation of the industrial park of Alhama has made the locker rooms of the entity's sports facilities available to transport professionals, which are in perfect working order and have, among others, a hot water supply to serve the basic cleaning and hygiene needs of truckers and transporters who arrive at companies in the municipality or whose route includes Alhama de Murcia.
This has been transferred to the different companies located in the polygon, since "road transporters are encountering significant difficulties due to the closure of different service stations on numerous routes," according to what the sector has reported.
The Alhama industrial park houses more than 120 companies, among which are some of the most important in its sector, such as PcComponentes and Fruveco.
It is located in a strategic enclave, next to the A-7 Mediterranean Motorway, and at its junction with the RM-2 motorway, which connects Alhama with Campo de Cartagena, in the center of the Region and equidistant from the three nuclei of greater economic activity Murcia-Lorca-Cartagena and 15 minutes from Corvera international airport.
Alhama thus joins other similar initiatives that have taken place in cities such as Murcia, where the Enrique Roca stadium (formerly Nueva Condomina), or Lorca, has been made available to this group, yielding the Artés Carrasco stadium for the same purpose.
During the state of alarm caused by COVID-19, the transport sector has a primary role, since they are responsible for guaranteeing the distribution of all types of essential goods so that they can reach shops and establishments, among which there is the agrarian and livestock sector.
