Electric vehicles will pay 75% less taxes in Alhama (31/10/2018)

The ordinary October plenary session, held last night, initially approved the Fiscal Ordinances for 2019, which regulate municipal taxes, including taxes and fees.

As a novelty and first step in the bid to promote the acquisition of non-polluting vehicles, the councils of Finance and Environment include a proposal for a 75% reduction in the Tax on Mechanical Traction Vehicles (IVTM) for those that are 100% electric .

For example, a tourism that currently pays 99 euros, in its electrical version would only have to pay 25 euros a year.

These new ordinances also establish a 40% bonus on the Building, Installation and Works Tax (ICIO) for those companies that hire people at risk of social exclusion and / or victims of gender violence;

The proposal allows small businesses to access this first section.

Since this measure was implemented in 2017, there are 11 people hired, so "we expect this figure to increase to a minimum of 15 in the coming months," says the councilor of Finance.

Another of the measures included, establishes a 50% bonus for people who carry out volunteer activities in cinema tickets, theater and other shows, music school, council actions, tickets and uses of sports facilities and organic gardens, with the objective is to promote, recognize and value socially voluntary action.

It also modifies the traditional way of conducting municipal auctions, which to date had been held in the plenary hall.

The law establishes that this procedure will be carried out from September 1, 2018 through the auction portal of the State Agency of the Official State Gazette (BOE).

In relation to the regulatory ordinance of the Tax on the Increase in the Value of Urban Land (surplus value), the councilor of Finance said that a legislative amendment is pending in Congress to adapt this tax to the demands of court judgments of Justice.

The practical consequences for local administrations, among which is Alhama, will lead to a 90% decrease in income from surplus value.

"In this sense the claims that we have been making to the Autonomous Community to regulate by law the participation of the municipalities of the Region of Murcia in the income of the regional administration, to ensure the distribution of resources in a way that is more valuable than ever. fair, objective and fair, and thus be able to ensure the financial sufficiency of local entities, "argues Felipe García.
