Valuation of the Ordinary Plenary Session of June 26, 2018. IU-greens (27/06/2018)

In the past full ordinary of June the two motions of the Municipal Group of IU-Greens were approved.

In the first one, it was requested to face the humanitarian emergency related to the ship "Acuarius", both from the Regional Government and from our City Council, to the extent of our possibilities.

Lamentably the right Alhameña hid in fallacies and unexplained populist arguments to mask their lack of solidarity, in line with the extreme right of Italy.

The second of the motions, echoes the initiatives in which numerous groups are participating commemorating the centenary of the birth of Marcelino Camacho, to spread the historical figure of the founder of CC.OO and the values he represented in defense of workers, freedoms, social justice and democracy in our country.

To this end, an act of homage and recognition of his career will be carried out, the disclosure of his historical contribution will be supported and a street, avenue or plaza will be named in our town.

Motion that also obtained the support of C, s and the PSOE.

The Plenary approved the proposal of the Municipal Government to set the local holidays for the year 2019, on February 2 (Saturday) and October 7 (Monday), which was supported by PP and C, s.

From IU-Greens we state that this decision means the loss of a non-working day for most workers, so we voted against.

On the other hand, the proposal of the Councilor of Social Services to claim the Autonomous Community a commitment to accept land for the expansion of the residence of elderly people Virgen del Rosario, received our support, as it is part of the line we have always defended from IU-Green, for the provision of a public service, the need to increase the number of places available and located in a location that we consider appropriate.

Regarding the motion of the PP to support the initiative of the Retógenes Foundation, friends of military history, to fly on the balconies and homes throughout Spain the red flag, in commemoration of its 175th anniversary.

Our Group requested explanations from the popular spokesman about the development of this motion submitted to debate by his party in the Regional Assembly.

We found his ignorance absurd, since the same day that the PP presented it for debate in the Assembly proceeded to its withdrawal.

The tortuous and partisan use that the Popular Party makes of the common heritage of the Spaniards is deplorable, time and time again.

In relation to the proposal of support for the declaration of National Tourist Interest of the Holy Week in Alhama, from IU-Alhama every time we have been required we have actively participated in the meetings held in this regard.

We understand that who should lead the initiative is the Board of Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods, and so we expressed it in the information committee prior to the plenary session.

However, the PP preferred to be a spokesperson for it.

As a matter of urgency, the Mayor presented her proposal for remuneration from the Municipal Government in accordance with the changes in her Group, after taking office, the incorporation of Paco Navarro as the new Councilor and the redistribution of delegations.

All the opposition groups abstained.

In the questions and inquiries section we are interested in the process of hiring advisory services for the remunicipalization of the Municipal Water Service, as well as by the brief submitted by the Neighborhood Association of the County of Alhama in relation to the agreement with the Urban Entity and the use of municipal property in the Shopping Center.
