The City Council requests aid to the Autonomous Community for the damages of the rains on May 10 (22/05/2018)

Last Thursday May 10, 2018 the municipality of Alhama de Murcia suffered heavy rains, which were also recorded in various areas of the Region of Murcia.

Accompanied by adverse weather events, water and fallen hail caused overflow paths and significant material damage, especially in grape plantations.

The City Council has the primary objective of helping farmers and other neighbors who have their own crops, in these difficult times of depression and discouragement.

Therefore, the Local Government Board has approved, at the proposal of the Department of Agriculture, request the Secretary General of Agriculture, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, copy of the report issued by the Agrarian Regional Office of Alhama de Murcia on the damages produced by the torrential rains in the municipality.

The local government, once all the data has been collected, will request a line of aid for those affected, as other municipalities have already requested in the same situation, such as the neighboring town of Totana.

The provisional rainfall data moves between 32 l / m2 of the official station of Comarza and 57 l / m2 of the area of ​​El Praíco, with a maximum intensity of precipitation of 42 l / m2, which was recorded at 14 : 05 in Comarza.
